The Old Log Cabin
Text on front reads: "The Old Log Cabin, Whitewater, Wis." The log cabin was built in 1846 by Norwegian immigrants Gullik Halverson and his wife, Dorothea. It is built of hand-hewn timbers and has a sandstone foundation. It was moved to the UW-Whitewater campus in 1907. It is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. |
