Halpin Cottage
A clapboard house with a white picket fence in the Ozaukee County Pioneer Village. Text on back reads: "Ozaukee County, Pioneer Village, Wisconsin. Halpin Cottage 1850's. Pre-Civil War frame cottage built in Five Corners north of Cedarburg by Patrick Halpin, an Irish immigrant. Designed with two rooms on each of the two floors. An addition made in 1864, containing a kitchen and bedroom, was removed during restoration. Square nails were used throughout. Exterior sheathing is fastened directly to the frame." A sign on the left reads: "Memory Lane" and mature trees are in the background. |
