Interstate Park | Postcard | Wisconsin Historical Society
Text on front reads: "Interstate Park. Dells of the St. Croix." Elevated view of the Dells of the St. Croix River between Wisconsin and Minnesota. Text on reverse: "State Park Series. Interstate Park. (Located on the St. Croix River at St. Croix Falls, Wis. and Taylors Falls, Minn.) 700 Acres. Seen either from one of the pleasure boats as we float down the river, or from the crest of the high bluffs, this scenery presents a very striking appearance. The cluster of perpendicular rock-columns just at a sharp turn of the river are of most remarkable formation. Here they have stood for ages defying the swift onflowing waters, serving somewhat as mighty guards to this interesting scenery we now enjoy as our State Park."
