Proving Ground
Caption reads: "Close by International Harvester Company's mammoth new motor truck engineering building and laboratories is the Fort Wayne proving ground, where pilot model trucks are put through accelerated tests simulating the conditions of actual operation. Here a six-wheeled International L-180 paces through the long, racking 'twist course' which subjects its frame, springs, wheels and other components to severe test. Measured results of proving ground tests are studied closely by International truck engineers engaged in consistent, year-round effort to improve further the efficiency and economy of truck operation." |
