Fast Film Finishing at Trumble's Dell Photography

Fast Film Finishing at Trumble's Dell Photography | Poster | Wisconsin Historical Society
Advertisement for John Trumble's photography studio which, at the time, also included an art gallery and a store for camera supplies and antiques. The poster includes an original black-and-white photograph of a man (John Trumble) sitting in a flying bathtub. Dressed like the flying ace with a leather helmet, goggles and scarf, he is turning a hand crank for the front propeller with one hand and holding up a toilet plunger with the other. The bathtub is flying over a rural scene of agricultural fields and a duck is flapping its wings as if to stop midair to avoid running into the propeller.

The bathtub scene is one of several humorous backgrounds designed by Trumble for creating fun customer portraits.
