ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
W.M. Comstock was editor and publisher of the Oconto County Reporter. "...Mr. Norman Sleezer was hired to supervise the church's (First Presbyterian Church of Oconto) gymnastic and basketball program. In this capacity he came to know W.A. and Archibald Lake. When he moved to Freeport, Illinois, he asked W.A. for the use of the Point (Bell Point) for YMCA campers. W.A. assented. Mr. Sleezer became the camp's first director, and the Freeport boys used it every summer until 1953, when W.A. died. Duncan Holt then sold it to the Freeport Y, and it has been used by YMCA boys and YWCA girls." Source: Donald R. Holt, Jr. and Constance W. Holt, "Place Names" 1968.
