Atomic Fallout Shelter Demonstration Project at 457 Togstad Glen
An atomic fallout shelter is on display at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert D. Hamann, 457 Togstad Glen. The shelter was built by the federal Office of Civil Defense Mobilization for demonstration purposes and is open to the public during certain hours. After two years, the shelter is the property of the Hamann family. Shown in the shelter's doorway are Mrs. Hamann with her children (L-R) Barbara (6), Billy (5), and Rex (3). |
