Barbara's older brother Herbert E. Brumder is sitting on a step in front of his mother, Margaret Bouer (Mrs. Herbert P.) Brumder. The other three women are, from left, Myrtle Edwards (Mrs. Herman) Brumder, Henriette Brumder, and Ida Brumder Merker. Clifford Messinger, wearing a bow tie, is standing on an upper step.
