Madison YWCA Children's Fine Arts Program
Forty girls, ages 8-16, participate in Madison's first consolidated children's fine arts program sponsored by the Y.W.C.A. Ann Hoffman of the Y.W.C.A. staff directs the program. The sessions are taught by U.W. graduate students. Lessons in ballet and modern dance; sketching, drawing, and watercolors. Drama and music are included in the program. Lucille Newbold, 130 Breese Terrace, is shown during play practice beating a drum at a beatnik party during a beatnik interpretation of "Cinderella." Lucille plays the part of a fairy godmother. |
