Philip George Brumder (1920-2010) was the son of Herbert Paul Brumder and grandson of Milwaukee publisher and businessman George Brumder. In 1952, Philip became C.E.O. and Chairman of the Board of Applied Power Corporation, a company which Herbert P. Brumder had owned since 1924, when the company was known as Blackhawk. Philip retired in 1986; the company changed its name in 2000 to Actuant. |
