Windstorm Aftermath
Downed trees and limbs litter the lawn on the lake-facing side of the Herbert P. Brumder summer residence at Pine Lake. The five year old, shingle style house appears to have escaped damage; even the second story window awnings are intact. Newspaper accounts of the storm, which occurred September 14, 1931, describe winds of 65 miles per hour causing damage in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha and Washington Counties. |
