According to her obituary, Ethel Cecil Duecker was a graduate of Milwaukee State Teachers College and Carnegie Institute of Music in Pittsburgh. Born in Kiel, Wisconsin, Werner W. Duecker graduated from University of Wisconsin with a degree in Chemistry and Iowa State University with a Ph.D. in Chemistry. He worked as a professional chemist most of his life. The Dueckers had one child: John Cecil Duecker (1920-1981). |
