Picnic
Members of the extended Brumder family are gathered around a long picnic table set up on a tennis court. Built on George and Henriette Brumder's summer estate, Villa Henriette, the tennis court was on a parcel of land inherited by George and Henriette's youngest son Herbert Paul Brumder, who built a house nearby. Herbert's wife, Margaret Bouer Brumder, is seen here on the far side of the table, wearing a necklace and wide headband, smiling at her sons Herbert E., left, and Philip across the table. Daughter Barbara is partially turned to look at the photographer. Pine Lake is on the right. |
