Tall bookcases flanking a large fireplace in the library of the George and Henriette Brumder mansion at the corner of Grand (later Wisconsin) Avenue and 18th Street. The overhead chandelier has fittings for both gas and electricity. A Tiffany style lamp with poppy shade is standing on the sturdy library table. There are desk chairs at the table and an upholstered easy chair on either side. |

This photograph was taken after the death of Henriette Brumder April 19, 1924. The house was sold shortly thereafter and razed for construction of a new Milwaukee Children's Hospital building on the site. |
