Dining Room
A view of the dining room in the George and Henriette Brumder mansion at the corner of Grand (later Wisconsin) Avenue and 18th Street. Sunlight bathes the room from windows beyond the right frame of the image. The fireplace is flanked by an Atlas, left, and a caryatid. There is a silver coffee and tea service on a small table against the wall on the left. A vase of flowers is standing on the dining table. The chandelier and sconces are fitted for both gas and electricity. |

This photograph was taken after the death of Henriette Brumder April 19, 1924. The house was sold shortly thereafter and razed for construction of a new Milwaukee Children's Hospital building on the site. Image ID: 140095 is another view of this room. |
