Christmas Display
Light from a dormer window illuminates a number of Christmas trees, including a tall and lavishly decorated tree, in the home of George Brumder on Grand Avenue at 18th Street. The tree has an assortment of glass, paper, and tinsel ornaments, as well as strings of glass bead garland. A putz, or nativity scene, covers the floor among the trees, and includes a Santa Claus figure on the right. A note on the negative envelope reads: "Christmas tree, Father's last Christmas, 1909." Brumder died May 9, 1910. |
