New Commemorative Stamp Issued
George and Sara Johnson holding a strip of 3 cent Gunston Hall commemorative stamps featuring the home built in 1758 for George Mason. He was the author of the Virginia Declaration of Rights which later served as the basis of the first 10 amendments to the Federal Constitution. The home is maintained by the National Society of Colonial Dames of America board of regents of which Sara Johnson is a member. |
