Gamma Phi Betas and Pin

Two older women admiring a pin held by a younger woman. Caption reads: "A small diamond pin which the Gamma Phi Betas at the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee hope will be coveted by all of its members was admired by (from left) Miss Charlotte Wollaeger, 2428 E. Bradford Av., dean of women at UWM; Mrs. Robert E. Fitzgerald, 1556 Martha Washington Dr., Wauwatosa, past grand president of the sorority, and Miss Cora Leach, Hartford, president of the new Gamma Gamma chapter of Gamma Phi Beta. Mrs. Fitzgerald received the pin in 1946 for her work with the sorority. In the future, it will be given to the junior Gamma Phi Beta who maintains the highest scholastic average during her first three years at college. The UWM chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was installed in festivities last weekend in Madison and Milwaukee. The chapter grew out of Lambda Phi Chi, a local sorority. |
