Nakoma Red Cross Bloodmobile
Two babies who would have died without donated blood meet two Nakoma school sixth-grade blood donor recruiters for an upcoming Nakoma Bloodmobile visit. Sarah Wynn (left) and Susan Wilson inform Debra Disch (20 months) that she is too young to recruit, while Brian (6 months) is a trifle bored with the subject. The Disch children inherited their mother's RH blood incompatibility, requiring blood donation. Brian had three life-saving procedures, Debra one. The two sixth graders and many other school children took home pledge cards to recruit family and neighbor adults to donate blood. |
