Bob Bender and his 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood

Three-quarter view from front left of Bob Bender sitting in the driver's seat behind the wheel of his cab named "Nellie," a 9-passenger shiny black 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood. Wearing a chauffeur hat, he is leaning slightly out the window, elbow bent on the door. Purchased used in 1957, the limousine was the flagship cab for Bender's taxi company. The signs onthe two side doors read: "R.L. Bender Deluxe Cab Limousine Service." The car is parked on a street along an open field in late summer or early autumn near the Dane County Regional Airport. A person is driving a tractor on the field in the background on the right. |
