Four national news commentators who conducted a symposium at the formal opening of the Wisconsin State Historical Society's new National Mass Communications History Center. The four national news commentators are: Quincy Howe, ABC commentator and news analyst; Austin Kiplinger, ex-vice-president of Kiplinger Washington (news) Agency; Gunnar Back, news director and commentator for WFIL-TV in Philadelphia; and Louis Lochner, former head of Associated Press Berlin news bureau and Pulitzer foreign correspondent. The fifth man (sitting and holding paper) is not identified but could be Keith Hinsman, a Historical Society staff member. The symposium moderator (not pictured) was Clifford Lord, Director of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
