Other Manufacturers — Road Maintenance
Subject: "Other Manufacturers — Road Maintenance." Where Taken: "SE." Information with photograph reads: "An International TD-24 Diesel crawler tractor and two International powered machines are used on a 50,000 acre farm located near Memphis, Tenn. where the Lee Wilson Co. raises cotton, beans, alfalfa, and corn on level, fertile land valued at $200 an acre. The farm is drained by open ditches, lined by spoil banks averaging 12 feet in height and cover a strip of waste land 150 feet wide. The TD-24 is used to level these banks and reclaim land for cultivation. The Adams No. 610 motor grader, also powered with an International engine, was purchased to grade roads, streets and level ditch banks around the farm." |
