TD-24 — Pipe Lines | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
Subject: "TD-24 — Pipe Lines." Where Taken: "SW." Information with photograph reads: "Owned by Morrison Bros., Odessa, Texas. These machines are used for spread laying 20-inch pipe through the desert near Kermit, Texas. An International Diesel crawler tractor equipped with Superior pipe boom supports the pipe and wrapping machine. It also pulls dope trucks, laded with 3,000 lbs. of doping materials, through deep sand. An International TD-18 Diesel crawler tractor with Superior pipe boom helps support the pipe. This equipment has doped and wrapped 15,000 feet of pipe during a ten hour working day. One of the doping units carried on trucks is powered by an International U-2 power unit. Two TD-18's help lower long sections of pipe into the trench while backfilling is accomplished by a TD-18 with a B-E angle dozer."
