Tub Race
| Sitting in galvanized wash tubs with their legs in the water, three girls are ready for the race on Archibald Lake. Jeannette Holt is in the middle, flanked by Margaret and Harriet Stroh. The girls' bathing suits have a sailor collar, and are worn over bloomers. Sitting on the pier with her feet in the water, Eleanor Holt is watching the racers. Wearing a hat, Minnie Vendt, housekeeper for the Holts in Oconto starting in 1898, is standing on the pier to the right of the man in a bathing suit. The woman to the right of Vendt is holding a camera. Caption reads: "Minnie Vendt." |
