Brumder Building
View from street towards a streetcar passing in front of the 1872 Brumder building located, according to a note of the reverse of the photograph, "on N. E. corner of Plankington [sic] Ave. and Kilbourn." When the building was constructed, N. Plankinton was called West Water Street. George Brumder's bookstore and Germania Printing offices were located on the first floor of this building; the family lived on the second floor. There are pedestrians on both sides of the street and a horse-drawn wagon on the left. |
