Herbert Brumder became president of American Grinder Manufacturing Co. in 1923, when the company name changed to Blackhawk Manufacturing. Brumder's son, Philip G. Brumder succeded him as president in 1952. The company was renamed Applied Power Industries at that time, becoming Applied Power in 1973, and Actuant in 2001. A multinational corporation, Actuant operates Enerpac in Menomenee Falls, Wisconsin, which produces hydralic pumps for all sizes of applications. |
