He is the brother of Jerome Francis Franklin Jr. Names (l to r) Jerome Francis Franklin Sr., Elsie Franklin (Jerome Jr's wife), their children, Nola, Hervy, Joyce and Belle on the lap of Jerome Francis Franklin Jr. Two stars are on the banner in the window. One star is for Perry Small Franklin. The other may be for Hervy Edward Franklin, another brother. The signs read: "Write Us From Berlin," "A Merry Christmas To You Over There From Us Over Here," "Keep A Steady Step Till Its Over" and "Hello Uncle Perry."
