ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
According to Shan Holt in June 2019, "The woman standing behind Gordon Wheeler is Ellen Holt, known to the kids as Aunt Nell. She was a favorite among the Holt and Rumsey kids, as many unmarried women tended to be, helping mothers look after the children. The woman standing at right on the shore is Minnie May Rumsey, Lucy Rumsey Holt's sister. She and Aunt Nell were great friends, as neighbors in Lake Forest, IL and women who did not marry. Possibly Aunt May is there to welcome Aunt Nell."
