Madison East High School teacher in the school's business education department, Mary Heyer (standing by the chalkboard), awards gold pins to Barbara Lien (left) and Virginia Domini for their shorthand writing skills. They qualified for the pins by being able to take dictation at the rate of 160 words per minute for five minutes. The three have corsages pinned to their dresses. |
