Ellen Holt was the sister of W.A. Holt. Jeannette and Eleanor Holt were Lucy and W.A. Holt's daughters. In March 2018, Sharon Ann Holt identified the girl in the boat with Ellen Holt as Harriet Stroh. She was a cousin of the Holt children through her mother Juliet Rumsey Stroh. "Clinker built is a method of boat building where the edges of the hull planks overlap," similar to shingles. This technique is also called lapstrake. An example of clinker construction is a Viking longship. (Source: Wikipedia). Photograph in album is overlapped on bottom right by another photograph. |
