One of three images. Published in Wisconsin State Journal March 17, 1965. 114 students from Friends of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (FSNCC), boarded the 3 buses bound for Selma, but were diverted to Washington, D.C. when violence broke out in Selma. They were told to bring food because Civil Rights workers could not buy food in the South. |
