Closed Burger Chef and Republic Building
View across State Street, on the corner of North Henry Street, towards two buildings. The one on the left was Burger Chef, but is vacant, with signs on the windows announcing the closure of the restaurant. The building on the right is the Republic Building, an art deco building with some ornamentation on the second floor and around the door on the far right. The ground floor contains Rated-X Bookstore. The second story contains Truman Tailors. To the left of the buildings is the old Montgomery Ward building (also closed). To the right is a partial view down North Henry Street, including the Montgomery Ward Service Repair Department. |
