"Blue Dragon Urn" Relocation Project
| Lou Host-Jablonski, AIA architect, preparing the new concrete foundation for the "Blue Dragon Urn," which was relocated from Sid Boyum's backyard to the public green space on the bike path at Atwood Avenue and Dunning Street. Lou is holding a hand trowel and standing by two white plastic buckets and a shovel stuck in soil. The freshly installed "Smiling Mushroom" sculpture, the first to be moved from Boyum's home, is in front of the new square foundation. Daffodils are in bloom in the background. The new foundation was part of a major relocation and public installation project that was community-based and volunteer to preserve Boyum's larger outdoor work to public parks, landscaped areas and private residences throughout the Atwood-Schenk neighborhood. |

| The City of Madison accepted 13 Boyum sculptures, the largest single donation of public sculpture in the city's 160-year history. The fulfillment of the committee's efforts was recognized in a public ceremony by the mayor and the city council on October 5, 1999. There are nine photographs in this series.
