Diemal Pascha Leaving for the Desert
A historic moment. Djemal Pascha leaving the Mosque of Omar (Dome of the Rock) in Jerusalem on his way to the desert. **Frankl mis-identifies the scene as Mosque of Omar, when, in fact, it was the Dome of the Rock that Djemal Pascha is leaving. The event occurred either at the end of December 1914 or early January 1915.** |
