Vilas Zoo Monkeys
Monkeys on monkey island at the Vilas Park Zoo. The monkeys are on loan from the University of Wisconsin during the summer and returned in the winter to be used for research. The monkeys are imported through the French government and come from Indochina [Southeast Asia]. There is a short supply of monkeys because they are being used for testing and in manufacture of the Salk polio vaccine. |
