12/2017 Currently has apartments on the second floor and the Chocolate Shoppe on the ground floor. "Free Karl" is a reference to Karl Armstrong, one of the Sterling Hall bombers. "Fred Lives" is a reference to Fred Hampton, who was an activist and member of the Black Panthers, shot and killed by Chicago Police in 1969.
