| Stereograph of an elevated view of a farm. A man is sitting on the hill in the foreground with his arm on one knee, gazing at the view. There is a house, people, animals, fences and fields in the valley. Hills and trees fill the horizon. Handwritten on back: "Return to Dr. Syverud. The old parsonage. Father K.K. Syverud viewing same. Taken about year 1867. Built by Uncle Nels Syverud year 1856. Farm consisted of 40 acres in Government(?) time. When Father bought it he added to 140 acres. Farm now 180 acres. Situated in Sec 34 and 35 township(?) of Blue Mds. Dane Co. Wis. This is where your Great Grand father died. Own by my father. Now own by me and while I was home. And. K. Syverud." |
