South Main Street Scene
Real Photo Post Card of a South Main Street scene. Men and women walk along the sidewalks and many horse-drawn vehicles are tethered in front of the stores. The streets are not paved, on the left is an area with horses, wagons and buggies. One wagon has "New Stoughton Wagon" painted on it. A sign "Howe" and "Borden & Selleck[?]" is set between the street and parking area. Retail and commercial buildings line the street. Signs on the buildings read, "Oregon Drug Co, Drugs, Jewelry, Silverware & Crockery," "A.M. Anderson Groceries," "B. Mc Dermott Sons" and "1898" on the Masonic Lodge. On the left, behind the trees, are many businesses inside the Netherwood Building. Caption Reads: "Oregon, Wis." |
