Dane County American Legion Forty-and-Eight Banquet
Three Madison diners at the Annual Dane County American Legion 40-and 8-banquet were Mrs. Alex Drives, Circuit Judge Alvin C. Reis, and Mrs. Kathryn Nankervis. The title for this legion group comes from box cars used during World War I to transport troops to the front line in France: They would carry forty men or eight horses. |
