Gisholt Machine Company Railroad Yard
View across railroad tracks towards the loading dock at the first machine works plant of the Gisholt Machine Company, located at the 1400 block of East Mifflin and North Dickinson Streets. One railroad car for the "Chicago and North-Western Railway" is standing on the tracks adjacent to a warehouse loading dock where there is a large crate. The car has been tagged with graffiti. A sign on the top of the warehouse designates the manufacturing company and its signature product "Turret Lathes." |
