Carl A. Johnson (left) and his younger brother, Hobart (right), as young men working at Gisholt Machine Company “after they boxed the first foreign shipment of machines, which they also helped build and test.” One of these brothers subsequently followed the shipment to Europe to assist in installing and demonstrating in the shop of the customer.” 

After their father died in 1901, Carl took over the company as president and general manager, and Hobart as vice president and factory works manager.
DESCRIPTION
Carl A.
