A Mystery was Solved

A Mystery was Solved | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
A small child is laying in a bed and staring intently. A breathing tube is taped to her nose, and an adhesive bandage is on her forehead. Next to her is a key. Caption reads: "A mystery was solved when 21-month-old Melissa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David F. Roenspies, 6630 W. Hampton Av., was operated on at Mount Sinai hospital Tuesday. An abdominal incision disclosed that she had swallowed a key (left) last Saturday and that it had caused a choking spell. A hasty search of the house had found no known keys missing. Melissa was reported to be recovering satisfactorily."
