Typewritten caption reads: "Deutschen Sitten und Gebräuche in Lodz. Landst urmkapelle zieht mit Musik auf. Ständchen um 12 Uhr mittags ver dem Gebäude des Geuverneurs." The City of Lodz was a provincial capital in Russian Poland. It was captured by German forces in December 1914.
