Gills Rock
Men and women are standing around the ferry landing at Gills Rock. Automobiles are parked along the drive. Fishing nets on dryers are stacked at left, in front of a wooden Quonset building. Painted on the building are signs which read: "Visit Washington Island the Pearl of Lake Michigan," and "Modern Hotels Good Roads Beautiful Scenery." A smaller sign states: "Don't Throw Cigarettes Around." There are two smaller buildings at right. |
