Sandy Beach Resort

Men, women and children in modest swimming suits enjoy splashing and playing in the water at Sandy Beach, a resort established by Gerhard Strauss in 1921. There is two-story boathouse on the shore in the background, and on the right is a large wooden slide, known as the water toboggan. There are many onlookers and parked cars in the far background under trees. The resort was sold to Otto Metzker in 1934. |
