7-Cylinder Comet Engines on Display
| Two 7-cylinder Comet engines assembled with cams are set up on a factory floor. Supported in opposing engine stands vertically and horizontally, they are under an overhead crane that reads: "Whiting Foundry Equipment Co. of Chicago" on the manufacturer's plate. The interior of the factory floor is sparse with production, and shows architectural details like steel girders, electrical lighting and wires, doors, windows on first and second stories, ceiling sprinklers, and floor tracks. |

Gisholt Machine Company purchased the the Comet factory in Oakland, California and moved it to Madison, Wisconsin in 1929. |
