State Forest Buildings
An elevated view of a farmstead, including a house, barn, silo, and two small outbuildings. The house has a fieldstone wing with front gable and shutters on the four front windows; a rear wood framed addition and the roof of another wing with porch are visible. The large barn has a fieldstone foundation. There are two birdhouses mounted on tall posts between the house and the barn. The buildings were used as the headquarters of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Northern Unit. Mauthe Lake is visible in the background, left. |
