The concrete Eau Claire River 2WP224 Dam, also known as the Augusta Dam, was dedicated August 12, 1937. It was the largest WPA (Works Progress Administration) project in the state of Wisconsin. The impoundment waters of the dam formed Lake Eau Claire. |
