Holy Family Hospital, Private Room I

Holy Family Hospital, Private Room I | Book or Pamphlet | Wisconsin Historical Society
View of a small private room with a cast-iron and brass bed. A single window with sheer dotted Swiss tied-back curtains brightens the room. On the hardwood floor is a floral patterned rug. A wicker chair with plush seat cushion and cast-iron tray table are standing near the bed. On the right, a pitcher, basin and accessories are on a linen covered wash stand. High above the bed are framed pictures hanging from cording. The first floor was exclusively for male patients, while the second floor was reserved for female patients and a chapel. Private rooms ranged from $10 to $20 per week, depending on the location and character of the room.
