The War Of 1917. Dedicated To The Brave Men Who Answered The Nation's Call.
Memorial poster for the members of Company 6, First Wisconsin Infantry, who died during the war. Text reads: "Company 6, First Wisconsin Infantry . . . Border Service June 19, 1916 To January 19, 1917." Poster includes the flags of the Allied nations, a bald eagle holding crossed American and French flags, an American and a French soldier, and depictions of the company marching, riding horses, and transporting cannons. There are three portraits, including French Marshal Joseph Joffre, American President Woodrow Wilson, and American General John Pershing. Also includes a United States seal. |
